IMPORTANT: New to our team? Read this!

This is meant for all people who have recently joined our team.
First of all: Welcome! I want to explain the goals of TA, what we have accomplished so far and what we are going to do. Also I'm going to explain how the testing works.
Temple Arena is an arena-styled mod which aims to be the absolute No.1 of all arena games out there. The basic game was influenced and inspired by Marine Arena in 2010. TA is under development since September 2010 (with a break of 5 month in between).
Focus of this mod lies on strategy. Arena games can be divided up into the simple arena games which are good for casual fun, and into more complex games which offer a great variety of possibilities to develop his own gamestyle. TA is of the latter kind. To be precise, TA revolutionizes this category by offering not only many possibilities to develop strategies, but also by combining real time strategy with roleplay customization features. My intention is that TA will be not only fun, addictive and challenging, but also innovative and always "fresh".
The current status of TA is BETA. This means that the main development is not yet finished. Contrary to Marine Arena (where the main development is finished but the balance is not yet like it should be), TA is missing both, content and balance. This also means that there may be changes in the future which have a huge impact on how you play the game.
The map will be released with the launch of the first SCII addon Heart of the Swarm. I try my best to finish the development by then. The finished TA should have all the intended content, and a certain degree of balance which makes the competitive aspect more relevant to players. Tournaments are planned for the time after TA has become popular.
You have joined our team, and I am very grateful for that. A mod needs players and enthusiastic people supporting it. On our way to the top we need to acquire as many players as possible to spread the word about TA. You can help us with that and of course, you are encouraged to do so.
Now I explain how the testing works. There are two kinds of testing. First, the casual games which take place all the time: just play the game from time to time and give feedback on balance, content and bugs. Second, before I release a major patch, I always organize an official testing period. This period varies from 3 days to 2 weeks. Within this time, I organize many many many testing games and we talk about the results each time after the game. This kind of testing is only meant to make a patch ready to being released.
The next official testing phase or period will take place in late February.
One important note: Please, before you start talking about balance, get to know the game a bit better. If you have played TA two or three times, you certainly are NOT able to judge on balance issues. So, to prevent misunderstandings, please start talking about balance when you feel you know the game and its offerings very well.
On a side note: This team is international, there are many Germans, English, French, Dutch and also players from overseas. This is why we always talk in English (1) in the TA chat, (2) and in these forums.
With this said, I wish you very much fun as a team member of Temple Arena.

- As a beta tester, you don't HAVE to do anything, you CAN do something, we won't force you at any time
- If you decide to help us, you can choose how, there are many options: (1) by just playing (and giving feedback), (2) by telling your friends and contacts about TA and making them join our team, (3) by just being present in our chat channel and/or using the forums, (4) by organizing games or supporting us in any other way
- Active and successful testers can be promoted to team managers.. a very special position just for you
- I only kick testers out of the team when I get no response ingame or when they don't come online anymore
- Beta testers get special rewards (as a thank you gift): (1) A special beta tester rank ingame, (2) a special beta tester HQ model, (3) a beta tester sign on your profile (profiles will be part of patch 17)
