Patch 15 we need hero upgrades, and we need to nerf armor upgrades, you can only upgrade max 20 times armor, because 40 armor upgrades can armor cap everything,i know nobody could get that amount of upgrades.
but i suggest lower all the upgrades in the game,Basic units get max 25 weapon upgrades max 15 armor upgrades. Mercenary units get max 30 weapon upgrades and max 20 armor upgrades. this would balance the game well i though, and there is no upgrades for special units like siege tanks and medivacs, they should be count as Mercenary units.

we need hero upgrades as fast as possible.

The armor system in TA works with damage reduction in % instead of absolute values. That means, 40 armor upgrades aren't a problem at all. Because the higher the armor upgrade, the lower the actual armor gain. You can calculate the effect by using this formula:

Damage Reduction (%) = 1 - 0,96^Armor Value

With 10 Armor you would have 1 - 0,96^10 = approx. 33% Armor Reduction.

With 40 Armor you would have 1 - 0,96^40 = approx. 80% Armor Reduction.

So even if someone got all armor upgrades, a "0" attack Marine for example would do 20% damage to the max. armor upgraded unit, meaning 1 damage out of 5 in total (e.g.).

The hero upgrades will be present in patch 15.

80% is bit too high, wondering does this 80% work togather with armor?
if my marine have 40 damage shoot your 40 armor upgrade zealot,it will first reduce 80% of my damage then affect the armor? wondering the reduction working on spells?

I mistakenly wrote armor reduction instead of damage reduction in my first post.

Simple Example:

Marine: 40 damage per hit

Zealot: 80% damage reduction (in the case of 40 armor upgrades what is nearly impossible in a normal game)

Marine does 40 - 80% dmg = 40*0,2 = 8 damage per hit

There's only the damage reduction in %, and no absolute damage substraction by the armor anymore.
